REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS COURSE
You need to train in Lymphatic Integrated Massage
before you can enrol on breast cancer aftercare.
Upholding professional standards UKLC has recognized professional therapy insurance with Balens. This was a great achievement for us as a training school, it meant we could now train qualified massage, beauty and complementary therapists in breast cancer aftercare, a first in this country!
Who should apply for the course?
Qualified* massage, beauty, and complementary therapists, with six months experience of massage practice with the exception of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists. All applicants must also hold a current professional insurance certificate. Insurance requirements: your massage qualification must show that you have received at least six months of training.
What skills are required?
You need to complete the UKLC/LIM course first.
Therapists who apply this new therapy are advised that clients may be distressed or embarrassed by their condition, therefore, an excellent ‘bedside manner’ is essential. Applicants should also be:
Training and Assessment
Training Cost - Only four students trained at a time
The course cost £1,800 inc VAT. A £300 deposit paid one week prior to commencement of home study, followed by four monthly payments of £375, fully paid before attended course commences.
